All custom orders are handled personally by our cake decorator, through email. When inquiring about a custom order please include -when you need the order for- how many people you are looking to feed- a theme or any photos of design ideas-
Please allow 4-14 days notice at minimum. An order is not guaranteed without full payment in advance.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR CUSTOM CAKES / CUPCAKES COST?
Prices vary depending on size, details and complexity of your design. Every order is custom therefore every price is custom.
HOW DO I GET A QUOTE FOR A CUSTOM ORDER?
Due to the fact that all of our orders are custom our cake decorator handles all quotes personally. To receive a quote email our cake decorator at firstname.lastname@example.org. For the fastest quote please include - how many people you need to feed, when you need the cake for and a theme or any design ideas you might have.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET AN ANSWER TO MY EMAIL?
We are excited that you have reached out to us about creating an edible piece of art for you. We try to respond to all emails about custom orders within 48 hours. However please be patient with us, we are not at our computers all day. As during the day we are baking, frosting and working on custom orders placed for the week.
CAN I WALK INTO THE BAKERY TO PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
We would love to talk with you about a custom order however all custom order quotes must be started through email. We are busy baking, frosting and decorating during the day and cannot guarantee we are able to stop to give a quote when you stop in. If you would like to set up an appointment to discuss your cake we would be happy to meet with you. Please email our decorator with the basic information for your order and let her know you would prefer to set up an appointment. She would be thrilled to schedule an appointment with you.
YOUR CAKES LOOK GOOD, BUT DO THEY TASTE GOOD TOO?
YES! Have you had our cupcakes in the shop before? Our cakes and custom cupcakes are made with the same recipes, so if you love our regular cupcakes you will love our custom cakes! Our batters are made using only the highest quality ingredients including sweet cream butter, milk, flour, sugar, eggs, Madagascar vanilla bean, callebaut chocolate. We pride ourselves on quality and we are always taste tasting to make sure you are received a consistent product.
DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE, NUT-FREE OR DIETARY CAKES?
We are not a gluten free or nut free facility. We do not make any special dietary cakes.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DOS AN ORDER NEED TO BE PLACED?
An order can not be guaranteed without at least a couple weeks notice. We are a small business creating edible works of art that take time to create. As soon as you know you are in need of a cake please reach out for a quote. We love you and would be honored to create a custom order for you however please do not get upset with us because we are booked. Some weeks we are able to fit a few cakes in with 4 days notice some weeks we are booked 2 weeks or more in advance, do not wait until the last minute to place your order if you know you are looking to book with us.
CAN I PICK UP MY CUSTOM ORDER ON THE TRUCK / DO YOU DELIVER?
Custom orders can not be placed on the truck. It is not a stable vehicle to transport a custom order in due to the amount of bumps it creates. All custom orders must be picked up at the bakery located at 2724 Virginia Beach Blvd. It is possible to arrange delivery on a case by case basis with an additional delivery fee depending on - when, where, what time
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED WHEN PLACING AN ORDER?
We require full payment in advance for all custom orders. Our decorator handles all custom order payments directly. After an order is placed and finalized through email with her she will email you an invoice for payment online. If you are looking to pay for your order in the bakery please make sure to arrange that with the decorator as she will have to be at the bakery to receive your payment.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/ CHANGE TO ORDER POLICY?
Custom orders take days to create. Changes and Cancellations to custom orders will be accepted up to 5 days prior to your order. In the event of a cancellation prior to the 5 days the date can be moved to a later date or a refund will be made. In the event of a cancellation after the 5 days if the order has not been started in any way the order can be tranfered to a later date but no refund will be made. If the order has already been started the date cannot be changed or refunded. This applies regardless of the circumstances.
REFUNDS / EXCHANGES
-Due to the tedious, handcrafted and custom nature of our custom orders, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for custom orders.
-Once you or a designated party has picked up an order and signed for it, it is considered “accepted” - refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design will not be honored after signing for your cake and it leaving the bakery.
-All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up or anytime thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly. If damage has occurred after the cake has left the bakery please call, and bring the order back. We will do our best to correct the issue - as long as our decorator is available - however additional charges may apply.
-We use the highest quailty of ingredients however cake flavor and texture is subjective. Full refund requested due to flavor or texture will not be honored. You may qualify for a percentage of a store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the flavor or texture is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes must be brought back to us within 48 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Twisted Sisters. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes that have already been completely eaten. Store credit percentages are based on how quickly the cake is returned, how much has been consumed and what we determine the quality to be. Store credit of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.
-if you come to our store to pick up and the cake does not meet your expectations, we will do our best to correct the situation and make the cake meet the expectations that you have or refund your payment minus a 25% handling fee. NOTE: If we give you a refund you cannot keep the cake. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will not negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it“ policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replaceing our cake.
-We do all that we can to make sure that your order is decorated to the specifications on your written orderform. Upon pick-up of your cake if for some reason something is not decorated correctly as stated on your order we will make necessary changes right away.
-Every order is handmade. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interference our expert cake decorators. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication; however we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake decorators.
